Business Connect Hungary will be presented by Dr. Tamas Deutsch, Trade Commissioner of Hungary in Australia with an introduction by the Department of State Development of Western Australia’s International Trade & Investment Division.
Hungary – adorned by the majestic River Danube, this culturally rich and highly educated nation of peoples, boasts 13 Nobel Prize winners in mostly STEM subject matter expertise from a population of 9.8million people. A European Union and NATO Member nation, Hungary is not a member of the Eurozone. Its currency - the Hungarian Forint (HUF) generates a current GDP of purchasing power parity in excess of $USD260 billion. Successfully resurgent from the GFC and offering a dynamic, modern business and banking environment, Hungary is on track with its economic growth to consolidate its position as an important EU regional trade services partner.
